i know irvine employees are forced to assist with the event but if you are located elsewhere you can still 'volunteer'. which means you pay your own airfare to and back from the event and you pay for your own hotel. however, you get the blizzcon ticket for free and then have to work shifts at the event. its a fucking awesome deal when you make slightly above minimum wage.

Accommodating employee's is slightly out of Blizzard-Activisons budget.

I wanted to go last year but tickets sold out in 10sec. This year it falls during the school year so I can't go again.

Never really thought seriously about going, but last year a few of my friends did and they had a blast. I guess we'll see.

I'll be buying the webcast like I did last year. That was fun to watch.

They spoke about the whole East Coast West Coast thing and I guess they use something like 75% of their staff to help setup the event.

Sort of a shitty excuse if you ask me, this event is damn popular you could charge people twice the admission cost to accommodate the additional setup fees and it would still sell out instantly.

It should be fun, I am hoping it is at least. I wouldn't mind making it a yearly "tradition" if its something worth attending. I figure i spend enough damn time playing their games I should at least see the convention once in my life.

I will see what sort of information, pictures. videos I can take while I am there and see if i can't report it back!

And heres to hoping for some information leaked about their new MMO and a beta key for Diablo 3!!!!

Yeah, I'd be going too if it wasn't 3000 miles away.

If it were east coast and no furries would show up, I'd be game.
